On November 8, 2024, in Arborea, as part of the Istòria Festival Culturale 2024, the conference entitled “Irrigazione e sostenibilità: soluzioni innovative” was organized. It was included in the cycle of events “Nell’acqua: il futuro e il cammino verso l’identità”. Three researchers from Agritech Task 4.2.1 participated as speakers. Professor Giorgio Borreani, from the University of Turin, opened the conference with a presentation entitled: “Agronomic strategies and organization of cropping systems to improve water use”. Professor Carmelo Maucieri from the University of Padua followed, with a speech on a new “App to guide irrigation”. Finally, Professor Vittoria Giannini from the University of Padua concluded with the report “Resistant dryland corn hybrids: opportunities?”. The conference was coordinated by Professor Maurizio Borin (University of Padua), leader of Task 4.2.1 of Agritech. About forty people, including students, farmers and ordinary citizens participated as audience.
