Agritech is the National Research Center for Agricultural Technologies, recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) with approximately €320 million in support. The project, led by the Agritech Foundation under the direction of the Rector of the University of Naples Federico II, aims to develop and apply new technologies for sustainable agriculture, promoting climate change adaptation, reducing environmental impact, and ensuring the safety and traceability of agri-food supply chains.

As a technology partner of the Agritech project, Relatech plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of innovative technologies. Participating in Spokes 4 and 6, Relatech contributes through various activities:

  • Spoke 4: Smart-climate and resilient agriculture and forestry: Relatech develops advanced digital environments to support Living Labs and predictive models based on machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to detect anomalies in tractor sensor behavior, estimate crop productivity under different climate scenarios, and forecast economic risks associated with climate change.
  • Spoke 6: Multifunctional and Resilient Agriculture and Forestry Systems: Relatech implements sustainable agricultural management systems and solutions for agri-food product traceability, using distributed ledger technology (DLT) to authenticate products such as wine, olive oil, and citrus fruits. Additionally, it develops interactive web applications for analyzing data collected through surveys targeting agricultural enterprises, offering customizable dashboards to explore trends in technology and innovation within the sector.

Through its technological contribution, Relatech supports the Agritech project in achieving its goals of sustainability, resilience, and innovation in the agri-food sector.
